Welcome back to the next episode of the Lake of the Woods Outdoorsman. Ice Fishing is back on Lake of the Woods and this French-Swede is ready to chase those fish down all winter long!
This Fall we had one of the best emerald shiner runs in years, into the Rainy River, which has brought back the big schools of fish to the Baudette area of Lake of the Woods.
In our first adventure of the season, Jody put on a clinic and showed this humble outdoorsman how to catch Walleyes through the ice, as if I had forgotten. It was great to see the bite pick up from what we’ve experienced in our area the last few years.
The best bite has been in the 18-22′ range…plenty of BIG Walleyes are being wrestled with also. We look forward to seeing you up here this winter to share in the next Lake of the Woods adventure.
